Very nice John! ::tu:: Is that the 10+ inch model? ::shrug:: When I first saw these I was totally unimpressed, ::facepalm:: but when I saw they came out with the larger 10" oal models I seem to have changed my tune! I like it! 8)

It's the Medium sized one, Mark. This round they only had the Medium and Small/Mini versions. I'm more excited about the Zippo, which is a new edition.

Thanks for that info John! ::handshake:: I wasn't aware there are 3 versions of that knife, ::shrug:: I just thought they had the regular sized AK-47's and then recently saw the XXL Desert model. I'm sorry I forgot to mention how cool the Zippo is! ::tu:: 8)

Got my first Fallkniven today. A Gentlemen’s Folder. The handles are Amboyna wood. The blade is laminated cobalt steel, which is stainless steel. The pivot on this is a bolt that can be adjusted to make changes to the inertia of the blade and requires no oiling. They say that if you oil the joint it will attract dust and dirt and will increase the wear on the joint. They have put some real thought into the linerlock and it’s more secure than the average run of the mill linerlock. The blade centers perfectly when closed. I really like this knife and want to carry this one, but not sure I can do that, it’s so nice. Comes with a glass covered display box.
I have wanted to try one of these for a long time and now that I have one in hand, it won’t be my last.

With that pattern and obvious quality, your Fallkniven is way beyond most. The Amboyna wood is lovely. I think the spear point blade is ideal—a beautiful knife.

::woot:: WOW! That rig is positively stunning. ::tu::

I know how you feel about being reluctant to carry a particularly fine piece. I do usually take my best stuff for the occasional outing though (including a couple real beauties I bought from you ::nod:: ). It’s just so darn satisfying to pull one out of my pocket, especially if I’m with a large group of people. Great conversation starters :)

That's one beautiful knife Mark! ::tu:: I've admired those Fallkniven folders ever since I first viewed one but their higher price has kept me at bay. They're one of those knives you can just look at and not even handle and know it's very well built. The spine must be 4-5mm thick! As nice as the Amboyna wood covers are I'm still partial to their models with dark horn or ebony covers. I'm almost surprised you're not keeping it for your own collection. Congratulations on a fine acquisition, ::handshake:: and maybe someday I can afford one for myself! 8)

Thanks Q, Willie and Mark.

Willie that barlow is very nice. I like the jigging and the color on that bone, that’s a fine looking knife.

Saw this drop the other day from JKD on these very limited Master Hattori knives. Got one just in the nick of time before they sold out. Ebony handles with a turquoise spacer and brass bolster and end cap. This model is called Gecko and there is a gecko on the end cap. The blade is very thick and ground expertly to a razor sharpness. Beautiful box with COA and nice leather sheath. The price was reasonable for one of Master Hattori’s knives.

Thanks Mark, Willie and Garry. I am pleased beyond words about this one. You won’t get a chance to buy a new knife made by Master Hattori in the future, he is in his 80’s and doesn’t make nearly as many as he use to, that’s one reason I pulled the trigger. I have noticed that his knives are selling out faster each time there is a drop.

Thanks Willie, I’m excited about this Hattori.

Hopefully this will be the last few I add to my personal collection for awhile. Two Moki’s. One is a pendant knife with pearl checkerboard inlays on the mark side with stainless on the back. Measures 2 3/4” fully opened.
The second one is called an Amaranth. Full stainless construction and VG-10 blade, with pearl inlays on both sides. Love the run up on this, it’s so tight.
More information in the Moki thread.

I'd keep all of 'em.

Nice pick-ups, everyone! I haven't received any new knives lately, but I did send some off to fellow AAPK members earlier today.
