I got a Kaiser Vanguard Swaggs Wharncliffe Swayback Flipper Liner Lock with green G-10 handle awhile back and really fell in love with it, so I got another one in a different color. This orange & black one also has dual thumb studs and a deep carry pocket clip. Very impressive knives for the money, IMHO.

And good on them for including thumb studs.

Wharnies are hit and miss for me. That one is definitely a hit!
I pulled off a couple decent Barlow pickups.
A Wostenholm from the bay, and a Western from Knifeaholic.
I didn’t used to be a fan of Barlows, and now I covet them.

Very nice, Q. I'm trying to get a red one with the push button lock ordered, but SMKW has been doing maintenance on their website for 3 days now and can't make an order. Hopefully, they'll be back up soon. Must be one heck of an upgrade to their system.

Thanks, Willy C, Quick S, SB Willie, and KLJ; always nice to know other collectors approve.
KLJ77: I just ordered a Red button-lock model, too, but it was from an officially licensed eBay dealer (he even gave me a $10.00 discount on a brand new one)...Sweet!
In the meantime, in addition to playing with my other new Kizer Wharncliffe Swaybacks, I picked up this Kizer "Splinter" frame lock with sculpted, rainbow anodized titanium handle. Closed length = 4". I gotta say, I'm really taken with the Kizer brand...excellent knives and very reasonably priced for what you get, IMHO

My CJRB Talla arrived yesirtiddy.
For just a hair under 55 bucks in, I'm glad I took the plunge.

Nice pick-ups, everyone!
Another purchase from TripleF came in today. The Camillus, the Imperial, the rulers, and one gauge were purchased...and I got bombed with the second gauge and a Ranger (I think) LB-80. Thank you very much, Scott!

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Picked up a 1990 3 1/4" Buck 703. The seller said it was new & unused but he was wrong. It has been used & carried and needed some well cleaning and some oil but it is still in fairly good condition and has good snap on all three of the blades (after cleaning & oiling). Interesting is, each blade has it's own spring. Found that kind of cool.
This one will be a nice EDC.
Chatted with the seller some & he comes from Houston, Texas. He moved to Germany with his German wife. The knives were his fathers & he is slowly selling off some of them. Who knows, maybe he has another treasure or two I can buy from him.
Thanks for looking friends!

Good buy, Tom!
I have the 701, which is the larger model from the same series. It’s one of my personal favorites. Individual springs for each blade is a common feature on Buck stockman models. I rather like it.
You’ll really enjoy toting that one, and I’ve found them to be great conversation pieces as well.

Q, John, Willy Tom and Dan. Great pick ups.
Willy...I like the looks of that folder. Nice blade.
Q...I looked at the 'Splinter' also, but for some reason, the handle just didn't appeal to me. I suppose this is a knife one needs to hold in the hand to make a final determination about that.
