The "Certificate of Authenticity" throws me off a bit. Why would a knife made that long ago come with a COA and why isn't the COA pictured?
I don't know much about the knife. I have a Union Knifeworks knife myself and I consider it a real gem. The fact that the secondary blade on mine has been removed doesn't bother me too much. It doesn't bother me that it's been buffed either. I'm just happy to have a knife made by a company that was only in business for 2 years so long ago. I find it fascinating.
My tang stamp looks a little different but I don't know if they had different variants of tang stamps. Someone more knowledgeable will show up soon.
