Question Charlie. What do you use to hold your knives in place (versus gravity)?

I echo everyone else: Charlie's display is stellar! I don't think the plaster in my ol' house could handle such things, sadly.

Thank you everyone!

QS, the display cases I have are filled with a foam insert and the foam is covered by black velvet. When you place a knife in the display and close the lid the knife is pressed into the foam backing holding it in place. However there are some drawbacks to this system, one is you must be careful not to place thicker knives close to thinner knives because the thick knife will depress the foam more causing the thinner knife to be loose. Also, as you add, remove, and rearrange the foam gets broken down and needs to be replaced occasionally. In case you are interested I've purchased all of my display cases from the same vendor at https://www.customdisplays.com/knife-display-cases.html

Tim, I've tried to get close-ups but the reflections off the glass refuse to be dealt with. As explained above, I can't open the glass cover unless I take the display down off of the wall and lay it flat. I'll give it another shot when I get some time but I ain't makin' any promises.

One of my favorites.

Update: The date is wrong on the photo. The “Camillus” stamp on the other blade indicates 1941-1946 according to Goins.

Great looking Camillus Sword Brand Tim. A lot of those are bad about cracking around the pins. Yours looks pristine. ::nod::
