Wow, Unk! Y'all must have been down there behind the shootin' house when you got my picture!
I figure our old Club Car might go 15 mph at the top.
The damage looked a lot worse than it was. A special bolt that holds the tie rod to the extended spindle must have worked it's self loose and fell out causing the left front to collapse. It would be 1 in a million to find that bolt so we fell back on the old USMC adage, "improvise". I took a tap and found out the thread count on the 3/8" bolt and determined the length, went to Tractor Supply and paid $0.48 for a 2" grade 5 bolt and a bunch a washers to make up for not having the special rounded part that allows the tie rod end to pivot on the bottom of the spindle. After a couple of tries, we got the right amount of washers to allow the steering to turn and the bolt to bottom out in the tapped hole. The lift kit was made by Jakes so the proper bolt might be available but certainly not readily available in out neck of the woods. Probably can find one on the web if this "fix" causes problems.

Glad you got her up and running again.

We went out in my buddies Can Am again tonight, and heard something scraping on the CV joint. Turns out he had run over some chicken wire / nylon netting they use to ship bundles of rocks. It was all wrapped around the axle. So we spent half the evening untangled that mess. He had a little damage to rubber boot on his CV joint, but we got it back on the road.

John . Nice pics of your woods wandering. Neat looking country .
We made it up north fishing for our opener weekend. Walleyes weren’t biting much so went after Bass . Caught this 22 inch on a 7 b Rapala . Was nice to catch and then release . Maybe do better with the Walleyes this evening .

Morning Ike. We did find the Walleyes but they are still full of Spawn . Was Ice on the lake a week ago . So the Walleye will be there in a few weeks when we go back .
Did get a couple of pics while on the way up . All roads into the Res have Signage to let you know what land you’ve just entered . And a historical sign on one of the roads up home .
Will try again soon to fill the pan with fresh fillets

I mentioned several days back concerning feeding the deer and the coons. Coons seem to be as aggressive as squirrels when it comes to raiding deer feeders.

This is what we like to see.

We see this quite often.

Beginning to see more athletic racoons.

Waiting my turn.

We raised the feed plate about 6-8 inches higher, next time we check the camera we'll see if it helped. Another way to correct this will be to put the feeder motor back on the barrel and raise it to the maximum height and then feed on a timer rather than free choice. This creates another problem, the squirrels, coons and birds will be there all the time and the deer maybe not benefit if they are not close by when the motor runs.

Osprey on the nest at Lay Lake on The Coosa River in Central Alabama.

The wind took us closer and the bird in the photo was not happy. The one sitting on the eggs or tending the hatchlings, never moved.

New visitor to the backyard feeder at the Roe household. It has been a year or so since my dog went on ahead and now we have a little cottontail that is showing up in our back yard and is frequenting our bird feeder.
