Very nice John! I don't think I've ever seen a Buck knife that doesn't have a metal pommel, and I'm thinking I really like the look!

Looked these over months ago and liked what I saw, but wasn't sold for the price. Picked it up because they were offering 70% off retail price which made them less than twenty bucks before shipping. Figured how bad could it be for that price. Turns out it's a decent knife, has done all I've put it through with flying colors. Thought the hole near the tang would be where I put my index finger, but not really comfy IMHO. I like the handle and it's comfy without using the hole. Nice balance, plenty of belly, decent edge out the box. The blade is a little thicker than I thought it would be but that hasn't hurt its performance yet either. So far so good

Well I never posted anything over hear in fixed knives but after seeing Charlies fine family of fingers I wanted to show a few fixed knives too... This is a Green River Tactical Predator, 9" OL well balanced with D2 tool steel, hard to find now they are discontinued but if you run across any they are worth a second look, made by Dexter-Russell of Southbridge MA. they seem to focus more on kitchen cutlery but they have made some decent fixed knives also this one is from I think 2015..a pic and his little red buddy

Here is an old pre-war butcher with nice cut swedge, etc. and plenty of blade for most cutlets. It is available, along with a couple dozen other kitchen and butcher items I have accumulated. Dale Vincent re-handled this one in (I think) zebra wood, and a nice job of it.

I regret not buying them when they were being clearanced out. They look great! And with D2, tough as nails.

Yes I wish I had bought more also, after posting I found the original box and it was made July 15 2015, but what a dandy knife it is….I think they shifted to mostly kitchen cutlery, I guess that’s where the profits are at.

I hear ya man! It just so happens I have many daggers in many styles should you want any! They would have to be the one's I'm willing to part with though! Picked up these two Teknas recently.

Tiny little guys at just under 3.5' OAL with just under 2" blades, but they get most small jobs done under the radar.

After a couple PM's with Tongueriver, I dug out these two. Both are their makers versions of the legendary "Randall Made 1-7"
Both are great knives that are now discontinued by their makers. 1st is the SOG "Agency" and 2nd is a Blackjack 1-7
As I stated they are both excellent knives but, they're just not the real thing.

I'm sure I've posted them before but here they are again in case you missed them.

I have had an insatiable interest in the second world war since I was about ten years old. (A heck of a long time ago) I like to be the temporary custodian of the tools that our troops would have carried. I especially like it when I can find one that has been personalized. I really like the PAL line of knives as evidenced in the pic. I am also a big fan of the "Quartermaster" knives, the Case 337 6"Q and the Cattaraugus 225Q. I don't believe that there has ever been a better, more versatile, survival knife made, in any price range.

I struggled to find a way to display these knives in such a way that I can take them down and play with them. The racks were my quick and dirty solution.
