Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Thank you, gentlemen!
I really am very pleased with 'er.
It's the perfect knife IMHO, to get one hooked on flippers. Instead of paying $1200+ for the original, you can get it's kissing cousin here for 1/20 the cost. Are you getting the same thing as the special one, no. But for my hard-earned-dollar, you can't beat it for seventy dollars.
ZT has come out with a 0777CF throwback.
But it's not like original, they've lost the things that made the design special. Kershaw of all people, is true to the original.
And @ $315 Canadian, it's a pass for me.

Love that Barlow!Steamboat Willie wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 7:43 pm A couple good Barlow pickups for me this week.
First a Case 62009 1/2 in caramel bone, because I’m a sucker for the barnboard jigging.
Here is a Moore Maker I bought from one of our very esteem members at SharpNShinyKnives.
It's a one blade lockback with Desert Ironwood handles and opens/closes as smooth as glass.
Made by Bear & Sons. This one is going into my rotation of EDC knives, love it.

Then a Corning knife co with delrin. Kind of beat up, but I used to live in Corning NY. It’s a conversation piece.
Love them both. Great pickups!

I have a soft spot for Moore Maker knives, due to my time spent living in Texas and family there. I have a large trapper with an embedded 1911 silver dime in the mark side of the bone handle. Love that knife - just something about it. I really like those ironwood handles on yours - looks absolutely super. They have a cholla cactus handle version that’s on my “wish list”.dlr110 wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 12:00 am

Here is a Pearl Cattle Knife I bought from Wayne (btrwtr) at the knife show in Connecticut.
George Wostenholm, IXL, Sheffield, England. -- 3 11/16" closed.
It has been used but it is as solid as the day it came off the bench. Strong springs.
Thanks, Wayne.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
The mailman was good to me today. I received a lot of four knives purchased for $19.15 out-the-door. Clockwise from top left: a Victorinox Rover (the best of the lot), a Camco cap-lifter jack (needs help) a Japanese Omor lockback (possibly a write-off) and an Ideal jack (needs a good cleaning and oiling). I suspect the Camco and/or Ideal may be celluloid, so they're in isolation for now.
I also received an order from SMKW. Both the Bear & Son 109YW and the Rough Ryder Blue Mule toothpick will be carriers.
I put my first impressions of those two on video (if you don't want to watch, first impressions are pretty favorable, except for the Bear & Son being more gold than yellow).
