According to the article, he was only issued a citation; he was not arrested so he didn't go to jail.

So the knives were not even "arrest-worthy".

Maybe TSA felt sorry for him. 🤭

And how about the nut job that attacked Dave Chappell with a fake gun/knife…. I think if I were to attack someone, I would have chosen a better suited weapon.

I heard he was attacked by a rabid fan but not the particulars, will have to check that out.

The waterhead attacked him with a elite edge fake pistol with a knife blade flip up in it. I sold a RR solid brass 45acp pistol/knife to a fellow AAPK member just last week, I didn’t know people would actually use them. I told him it was heavy enough to pistol whip someone with.

Now I'm surprised the guy in the above linked article didn't also have one of these? Maybe it wouldn't fit in his carry-on? 🤭

When I worked DPS at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport there were calls everyday to the TSA checkpoints for knives. Most of the time the traveler had the option to mail it home or give it up and the TSA agents would handle the issue. For multiple knives or large ones the TSA Supervisor might call DPS, rarely if ever was the traveler arrested. If it's a gun, cuffs and a transport!

I can imagine two possible outcomes here: that the guy was relieved that some of those are no longer burdening him and/or that several of them will wind up in one of those "five pounds of wholesale knives" eBay lots.
