If any of you fellers (or lady) is more flush than I am and in the market, here ya go! A complete set of stainless and grey laminate stocked Marlin rifles. This is a high dollar set for sure, but the asking price was out of bounds imo. But it didn’t meet reserve, so if you’d like to make an offer on a very rare complete set…

Just wondering if anyone owns or has shot any of the new pistols in the caliber 30 Super Carry?

I’m not normally a fan of the J frames but this has a different and longer grip and just feels right in hand. Hope I can shoot it well enough for occasional carry.

Selling my Colt .22-.45 Service Model Conversion Unit (Floating Chamber) on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/234525331993 if anyone is interested. I inherited this Colt conversion unit about 20-years ago from my dad and it just doesn’t suit my needs.

The 30 Super Carry ammo I've seen is a 100gr jhp at 1250 fps. The only guns I've seen in the shops are S & W models built on the 9mm compact frame. I imagine most manufacturers will have some models soon.

Was at a shop yesterday and they had a Shield EZ in 30 Super Carry, but hadn't received them in the Shield Plus yet. Probably would have walked out with a Shield Plus if they had one.OLDE CUTLER wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 8:22 pm Just wondering if anyone owns or has shot any of the new pistols in the caliber 30 Super Carry?

Since they didn't have the Shield Plus, I didn't inquire about the ammo.ken98k wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 5:16 amDo they have shootable quantities of ammo for it?Grump01 wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 1:45 pmWas at a shop yesterday and they had a Shield EZ in 30 Super Carry, but hadn't received them in the Shield Plus yet. The stores here have plenty of ammo on hand for the 30SC. I suppose the thinking is the guns won't sell if there isn't sufficient ammo available.ken98k wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 5:16 amDo they have shootable quantities of ammo for it?Grump01 wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 1:45 pmWas at a shop yesterday and they had a Shield EZ in 30 Super Carry, but hadn't received them in the Shield Plus yet. I wouldn't buy a gun nowadays if I cant get several hundred rounds with it.
Over the past couple weeks I've been doing an internet search for 257 Roberts ammo or brass and it seems to be non existent.

I know, it is really weird. I was in the gunshop yesterday and people cant even find .243 Win ammo, but they have lots of 6.8 Western and .350 Legend, both newer calibers. I see people at gunshows paying a hundred dollars for an old collectible box of ammo, then shooting it up and throwing the box away. Those old blue/ yellow Western boxes are disappearing fast. I had to pay $90 yesterday for a brick of primers.ken98k wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 12:39 pmOLDE CUTLER wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 12:32 pmThe stores here have plenty of ammo on hand for the 30SC. Thats the way here 223, 9mm, even 10mm, but the old standbys like 30-30, 243, 257 Bob, are scarce to non-existent. Forget about primers, It's been years since I've seen a brick of primers for sale.OLDE CUTLER wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 12:58 pmI know, it is really weird. Ken, I once knew a guy who made 257 brass out of my surplus 7x57. As I recall it was kinda tedious, but I know it can be done.

Re: Guns & Gun Related Stuff
This is a c & p from an actual owner of a S&W 30SC: For your information
'I own a Shield EZ in 30SC. I have shot 115gr gold dots in ballistics gel comparing to 115gr 9mm Gold Dots. The performance between the two were near identical, there are some ammo tests on YT that back that up. I haven't shot 100gr ammo yet (can't find any in stock) but what I can say is shooting both 9mm and 30SC back to back is that 30SC does recoil slightly less than 9mm but unless you're shooting back to back you wouldn't notice. the 2 extra round in a mag are nice, but at this point I would recommend staying with the Shield EZ in 9mm, at least until more 30SC is readily available at a normal price.

Sportsmans Warehouse has the CCI 30 super carry ammo 29.99 for 50 rounds, doesn't appear to be any limit. Not a bad price

New toy I picked up this past weekend. A Sig P938 in 9mm. Nice size for pocket carry. I would have liked a de-cock lever but it would have cluttered the small frame.

Very nice! I don’t have a sig…. Yet, but all I’ve heard has been good. I did shoot a sig officer size 1911 once. It sure was sweet.

That one is my favorite for open carry, which I seldom do. I thought it would injure my hand to fire it but it was smooth and had minimum recoil, not painful at all.
