Nice old whittler! I am also carrying a whittler: a Camillus 72, joined by a Case 10318 and a Victorinox Pioneer. Not shown: the Leatherman Rebar on my belt.

Beautiful knife Papa, great pic too. Beautiful knife Gdogg, sweet pic as well. Beautiful one on top MI Dan and another great shot. Page full of great stuff.

Northfield 92 Eureka Jack spear and Schrade USA 893 with Jeffinn bone mod below. Love the Schrade steel. This one came unused and I've used it a quite a bit since with the original edge still on it. Stropped it once or twice, never sharpened. It's comes back to shaving sharp with a little strop and holds that edge. And so thin it's a great peeler, core remover, slicer. Fabulous knife. Shame we don't have Schrades still being made in the USA like these babies. Great knives.

Looks like you're doing some truck driving today, QS. Reminds me of a tune, ". . . and a Kenworth haulin' hogs . . ."

Totin' an Ulster that probably had a bail at one point. Did some pencil cleanup, good to go. See if you can tell the before and after shots.

Pencil cleanup...I'll have to look into that. Could be a good use for the three erasers I bought some time ago?

Dan, it's not the erasers you use but the lead. Rubbing the point if the pencil over the rusty spots will take the rust off and not damage the blade. It was a revelation to me when I learned that here. ::handshake::

I have at least one knife that could use some rust removal. Guess I need to pick up some good ol' wood pencils!

Make sure they're #2 pencils, Dan. Others have told me they'll even remove rust but not a blade etch. I'm too chicken to try it though. ::mdm::

I bought some rust erasers to try also, they aren't much different from regular erasers. And I've tried pencil erasers, they definitely help get the crud off.
