Any Train Enthusiasts Out There?

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Thanks, Tom. It's been a fun project and I've learned some things about electronics too. ::nod:: πŸš‚

Fennville? Are you headed to Crane's Pie Pantry?
It has been 10 years, or so, since I have been through Fennville, nice town.
Hi, we do not often go to Crane's. I can see the R.R. from our windows. I grew up in Mattoon which had the New York Central and Illinois Central. Need to get some pictures of the Amtrack. Coal trains pass daily to the power plants.

Just saw this video on YouTube-

From the video, this is basically our farm on Irons Mountain, just East of Cumberland.

Just got around to that video, John, it is worth a second look later tonight. Nice depiction of your farm, how far away is it from where the photo was taken? I am assuming farther than it looks.

It would be about a mile as the crow flies, Ike.

Ike dont know how many red and silver are left out there. I still see some fairly often. Some are still in decent shape and some are like the 647 above really rough. But they got some age and many miles on them.

Those are empty DS cars. Cant remember what their called at the moment.

Coil cars? I couldn't determine if they were empty, or not.

Nice shots, David. ::tu:: ::tu:: I've always liked that War Bonnet paint scheme, regardless of whether it's silver/red or blue/yellow. ::nod::

For any railfans, Western Maryland Scenic Railroad is getting ready for their Summer Steam excursions. I've had Memorial Day Saturday booked for 6 months now. Plus there's lots of other things to do in Cumberland to easily fill your long weekend, especially outdoor options. Lots of history, gorgeous views and even some urban hotspots. Let me know if you'd like some guidance.

Ike I missed a good one a couple days ago. Had four units of power and all different. BNSF, Norfolk Southern, Kansas City Southern and Ferromex. Sure would have liked to have gotten a pic of it.
