Golden Rule
I am going through boxes of old family stuff and found a Golden Rule Cutlery picture knife that has a topless woman on one side. I have searched and searched, but I can’t find anything on it and I’m trying determine it’s possible market value. Can anyone help?

Re: Golden Rule
According to Goins’ Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings Golden Rule Cutlery operated in Chicago from 1911-1924. They made transparent handled knives, shears, razor strops and other cutlery accessories.
There are collectors who focus on picture handled knives so your knife probably has some collector value to the right person. However those transparent handles are celluloid which has a tendency to spontaneously self destruct, which limits what most folks are willing to pay for such knives. You will sometimes see such knives having had the original celluloid handle covers replaced with other materials. Your best source for value is an advanced search on ebay for sold listings of the same or similar items, like “Golden Rule knife”.
