Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

I purchased this 4 pocket knife lot for best offer. A CAMILLUS 5, single blade toothpick, pocket knife. A CAMILLUS 7, single blade, SWORD BRAND CAM-LOC, pocket knife. A CAMILLUS 72, 3 blade, swelled center, 3 5/8" closed, "whittler" pocket knife. A CAMILLUS 73, 2 blade, 1 tool pocket knife. The CAMILLUS 5 & 7 needed no cleaning. The CAMILLUS 72 needed very little cleaning. The CAMILLUS 73 needed a good cleaning. I took some pictures and here they are.

Top to Bottom:
The CAMILLUS 5 - Near Mint condition.
The CAMILLUS 7 - Slight cosmetic "damage" to one handle. Otherwise, Excellent+ condition.
The CAMILLUS 72 - Excellent condition.
The CAMILLUS 73 - The handles are a mess. Otherwise, Good condition.

Congrats Skip, all good. You see a lot of the # 5's with that no line stainless stamp but that 73 is a find with the elusive no line stamp. Those have gotten to be a magnet to me. Glad you got that one ::nod:: ::nod:: ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

Thank you Floyd.🍻
I really bought the lot just to get the #5 and the #7. My first of both patterns. The "damage" on the #7 is
of no concern to me. It's more like a blemish. As far as the #73 is concerned, maybe I'll see if one of
AAPK's cutlery artisans can rehandle it.

Good looking group Skip. One of the best looking No. 5's I've seen. No.7, with a working cam lock is a plus. The 72 is just gravey to the mix. I agree with you on the 73, get the old girl a new dress and she can still dance for years. Great finds!!

Mike, that's a very good looking 22LR1 pocket knife. ::tu::
Here is another of the "Rimfire Classic" series you've got to obtain,
if you're going after the whole series (22LR6).
The whole "Rimfire Classic" series is pictured last.

Today I'm adding these three pocket knives to my collection. First, a CAMILLUS 72, 3 blade, swelled center, 3 5/8" closed, "whittler" pocket knife. Second, a CAMILLUS 72 "YELLO-JAKET", 3 blade, swelled center, yellow handles, 3 5/8" closed, "whittler" pocket knife. Last, a CAMILLUS "WHAT-A-KNIFE", all metal, single blade pocket knife. The CAMILLUS 72s needed minor cleaning, the "WHAT-A-KNIFE" didn't need any cleaning. I took some pictures and here they are. The "WHAT-A-KNIFE" is in the next post.
