Great pictures, Scott! You can't beat a red Case trapper!
I had to look up that particular mushroom, the Jack-o-Lantern. According to the www, it's a bad dude, poison, causes all sorts of issues!
The green knife is resting on something we call deer moss, don't reckon it'll hurt you. :)
I remember someone suggesting that you should do a knife calendar with your great shots in the Florida woods.

Heeeyyyyyyy, that's a great shot. Love the row of monuments in stone, the trees, the diffused cloudy, almost misty looking light. Oooooohhhhyyyyyyeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

I like that, Tom, but I like all of your work. While there are other military markers in this old cemetary, I chose that particular spot to exhibit my "old soldiers in ebony" because the stone indicates that the deceased was in the Black Hawk wars. That is a period in U.S. history which doesn't get much mention, but quite interesting nonetheless.
Thanks Madmarco, Iman, and Tom, for the kind words.

I carried a Camillus Teardrop on my soggy walk this morning. I couldn't decide which pic I liked better, so, I posted both. I thought the slightly misty, slightly icy conditions called for b/w.
