An Interesting Project

Welcome to AAPK's Veteran’s Forum. This is a place where veterans can meet, get to know one another better, perhaps swap a story or two, and share any recent information that they have acquired from the Veterans Administration, DoD and Veterans Service Organizations, including but not limited to, DAV, AMVETS, VFW, American Legion, PVA, and MOPH. Another good source of information are branch specific organizations.
We will have a voluntary CHECKING IN topic where you can introduce yourself, years serve and branch or branches of service. Welcome Aboard!

An Interesting Project

Post by OLDE CUTLER » Sat Jul 09, 2022 3:41 am

Ground was broken on June 30th for a new project here in Sioux Falls that would provide housing for homeless veterans by developing a tiny home village. Plans are at this time for 25 tiny homes, the first of which has just been delivered as shown in this photo I took today when I went over to the area to see the location. I'd like to see some of the abandoned houses in my neck of the woods razed and replaced with a development like this. Glad to see some veterans will be getting the help (beyond just a roof over their heads) that they need.

Really wonderful idea. Too bad we can’t send
a massive e-mail to all mayors. I am sure
there are funds for most cities that can be
tapped at the state or local level.

This project looks very useful and practical. Could be used throughout the country as suggested by Bob(realeye).

Good project.
Thanks Jerry. I was limited on my photo op by only having a cellphone camera with me, the mud in the construction site, and not wanting to tresspass.
