ADDITIONAL INFO:     The 97OT, Buzz Saw Trapper, first appears in the 2000 Schrade catalog and was still listed in the 2004 catalog when Schrade went out of business. This knife is assembled from new parts from the Schrade factory that were, and in some cases still are, available on the Internet. I started work on this knife in 2019, my initials and the year, DRV ’19, is inscribed on the inside of the liner. I broke one of the bone handles when I was assembling the knife and could not find another set of green bone handles to match them. I decided to replace both handles with the moss green color jigged bone and I’m really glad I did, I think it looks much better. It is difficult to photograph this knife because of the coloration of the bone. At some angles the smooth portion of the bone where the handle has been hafted almost looks like it’s glowing but from angles this is not observed. This is definitely a unique custom version of the Schrade Buzz Saw Trapper.

This is a customized knife made from genuine Schrade USA parts. All parts are Schrade parts except for the handles and the handle pins.
