ADDITIONAL INFO:     I can find nothing about Baron knives other than the guesstimated dates of its operation in John Goins; "Encyclopedia Of Cutlery Markings." Goins guesstimates that the company operated between 1950 to 1970. It's well-made knife with beautiful stag. The handle had loosened slightly, but I was able to tighten it easily. After World War II there were a lot of nice knives being exported from Germany to the US after World War II. (Many of them probably made from scrap German and American steel that was no doubt in abundant supply). I am told that several GIs went back and began to import knives from Germany as the cutlery industry began to emerge from the devastation of war. Knife making his old industry and can be quite simple. Some historians have said the knife industry in Germany was one of the first industries to reestablish itself after the war. This is a solid little knife. It would make a great hunting knife, or even a good bird & trout knife. The sheath is long since gone but this is a modern replacement sheath made of leather. I have not sharpened this knife yet in case someone wished to do their own sharpening. I will sharpen this knife before shipping at no charge if you tell me when you purchase that you would like it sharpened. Thank you,  Dale
