henkels & hammesfahr???
of course, everyone is familiar with JA Henkels and I'm 99.9% positive this henkels has no correlation to that name ...and I'm thinking that hammesfahr has been associated with quality razors in the past............hoping someone might have some info concerning this knife. Is it common?? Older or newer company??? Sorry about the poor quality of photo's...the tang has Henkels & Hammesfahr... GERMANY. Thanks for any feedback!

Re: henkels & hammesfahr???
Heven't heard of Henckels & Hammesfahr but I do have a bayonet with the Hammesfahr name stamped on one side.Stamping is a two dimensional pyramid with a cross on one face and the name," Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen-Foche" on one tang and on the other side it is stamped," Schubert u Salzer Maschinenfabrik Chemnitz" .
Seems to me I did research on it and it is an Austrian bayonet but I don't recall the era.I'll see if I have a picture of the stamp.
