Reckon how old this old workhorse is?

Post by Owd Wullie »

Picked her up today for not much $$. Been tipped and maybe repinned. She's solid as a rock though. Probably gonna put her back to work.

Willie,
Old style shield and old straight line stamp, plus logo on the back side of the tang. It is one of the really old Eyes,, likely 1950s, maybe up to early or mid-1960s would be my best guess. There is surprisingly little shrinkage to the yellow handles. The yellow handles on this brand is prone to shrinkage but I have never seen the yellow handles gas out. Good one!

I was surprised by the handles too. They are really a rich deep almost translucent yellow. Probably gonna put a new edge on her and wag it around for a bit.

Thanks Ray.
