I totally agree Dave, secondary in front is nicer.

Dave,
I know you like spears. Heres the same 56, only barehead with a spear.

Thanks for that!

Although I think were I to get a 56 I would get the clip. Just looks better in that pattern.

I know first hand after EDCing a #56, which is the same frame as the #57, it's a nice carry. ::nod::
Thanks everyone for the quick answer. I suspected they were Geppetto whittlers but all the sites that have them only show them partially open. The #56 and the #57 are high up on my GEC wishlist. Easy pocket whittler and Pioneer are also up there. So many great knives so little money. Gonna have to start selling/trading off some of my Barkies to try to get some more slippies:)

Hey Clown, sorry for the delay …

Love the handling and ergos of the courthouse whittlers. Springs on this one are semi-stout (by GEC standards) - plenty of snap and seat.

The one in the picture is lookin' a little "grayer" than she was when that pic was took - she's a regular in my EDC.

Great knife, highly recommended.

They are kinda hard to come by, but you can still find a few Frontier Bone and Palm Wood out there. I'm guessin' they won't be there for long though ...

Guys, I believe GEC is running another batch of Courthouse Whittlers in the very near future. I think it will have a different small blade than the first run. ::shrug::
