Here's a young fellow Fort Worthian - Cody Jinks. He sings good old classic country. Kinda has a Jamey Johnson sound.

I like him Unk. First I've heard of him. Music is a tough road so best of luck to him.

Here's a couple from one of my talented neighbors who has been trying to make it big in music for many years. Meanwhile he makes a fairly good living as a stone mason.

Written by Cowboy Copus, recorded by hundreds, but I like this version by Pee Wee King best. ::nod::

Jerry, thanks for posting that Linda Ronstadt & Hoyt Axton song. Haven't seen that one.

I was a huge Linda Ronstadt fan back in the 70s and 80s (notwithstanding her politics). My favorite album of hers is "Linda Ronstadt" recorded in 1971. She sings mostly country songs on it, including some Johnny Cash, Woody Guthrie, and Hank Cochran tunes. Glenn Frey and Don Henley who would later form The Eagles back her up on most of the songs.

There's not a bad song on the album....the link below should take you to the whole playlist of the album:

When I first heard about Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin) and Alison Krauss (Bluegrass) collaborating I thought to myself that won't work. Seems like I was wrong (again).

Every time I hear Alison Kraus I think, "I don't have to be in heaven to hear what the voice of an angel sounds like!" One of the most beautiful voices ever.

On a sadder note, we lost a great musician yesterday with the passage of Leon "Fiddlin Frenchie" Burke. Another much under-appreciated talent IMHO. RIP Frenchie!
