Boy I have been to Harlan, Ky. many times back in the 70's and 80's. That was like getting into Mr. Pebody's way back machine and visiting the past. There were three towns up there we called " The 3 H's", Harlan, Hazard and Hyden. Straight out the Daniel Boone Parkway into another era.

Thanks Unk. Desperadoes Waiting For A Train is a personal favorite (along with about 8 gazillion other songs) but I had never heard Tornado Time In Texas. He speaks God's own truth in all his songs.

Of course we sent planes to Haiti to rescue duvalier and sent planes to Philippines for marcos ..............

Great song. Can't go wrong with ole George. Can't believe you never heard that one before Jerry. Funny coincidence (sort of anyway). Don't know why but this one from George popped into my head and has been running through it for a couple of days! It's a much lighter subject matter though.
