Any Kershaw fans out there?

Kershaw began its foray into the knife business sometime during 1974. The company was originally based in Portland Oregon, but most early knives were manufactured in Japan. The first US manufacturing plant was opened in 1997 & the company currently offers knives made in the U.S., Japan, & China. Pete Kershaw (an ex Gerber salesman) started the business.

Thanks guys.
I thought they looked very different, yet nice.
It was not hard to work, a bit more heat sensitive than other horn, but not too difficult.

Glad you liked it.
Thanks for the comments. ::tu::

Not to beat a dead horse (already posted these in the EDC and Plain ol'e work knife threads) but yeah. I have a collection of two scallions. The older has been in my pocket every day since '06. Haven't really considered "collecting" them but I feel lost without one or both with me everyday.

I posted my rainbow Leek/Klein bicycle picture in another discussion, but it seems to fit here.

In the second picture it is joined by its former mate, the stainelss Leek. My son asked if he could have this one when he was home on spring break, so it is now at college with him.

As good a place as any to have a good knife, right?

He actually took two back with him. When he handled my Case Peanut he immediately fell in love, and said, "This is the knife for me." I bought him a yellow CV peanut, so he is well equipped for all manner of cutting tasks.

I thought seriously about replacing the stainless one my son took with one of the black ones. I may yet do so. They are such handy knives, and good cutters.

I had to dig deep to find this old thread. I just wanted to show off the two Leeks I snagged off eBay today. I confess I couldn't wait for them to arrive to put them up here. The pictures are the sellers pictures.

The first one is a 1660BB - Black & Blue. I've had a BR (Black/Red) for quite some time but have wanted a BB (Black/Blue) to partner up with it. It should be here by Saturday.

Oh, come on. How could I pass up one with USMC on the handle, even if it is partially serrated.

Ohhhh JohnnieR, me too. Toooo much. ::facepalm::

Part of my problem is not only do I want them, I want others to have them. Bid on one today for my cousin but didn't get it and now I'm watchin' one for Cousin Roy. May God have mercy on my soul.

Aw jeez Cutty. Now there's another one I'll be Jones'en. Wish we had a Flea Market like that around here.

Edit: Oops. 2-3/4" closed. Waaay below my self imposed minimum. Still a neat looking knife and very desirable if it were 3/4" longer.

Scott -- Is the Kershaw Burst made in the USA?

Edit: Never mind. Just looked it up and it's a product of China. However, the Skyline is a USA made knife.
