Awesome knives, Paul. 😎👍
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Hi,
I have a question regarding my clasp knife.
It appears to be a typical WW1 Keen Kutter 6353/1905, but I am puzzled by the numbers on the spike. 9129 and the slash " / " .
Is this a batch or military acceptance number? If so, do you have any ideas as to the army the knife may have gone to?

Keen Kutter waa a brand mark of the E. C. Simons Co. a US knife and tool maker. Canada had contracts with US knife companies for 6353/1905 pattern knives. I've found records of the contracts with Camillus and Schatt & Morgan, about 150,000 knives from each IIRC, but haven't been able to find any documentation of a Keen Kutter contract. The number is most a soldier's service number. If you go to a forum dedicated to WWI or Canadian WWI you might find someone who could help you trace the individual.

Hello everybody. new guy here
I was given a knife by a friend which to my limited knowledge is a WW1 issue pocket knife
The only markings are on the can opener which reads W then a broad arrow inside a D then the number 4
these are the only markings ,no manufacturer at all
Hopefully someone can shed some light.

another friend has what looks like a WW1 knife by Booth Sheffield are the only marks. no military marks at all . Could this be a commercial produced knife

Happy new year

I'm sorry to say that I do not have the skills to post photos
If some one wants to send me an email I can send photos that way
I do apologise to everyone . My friends knife was made by Bird from Sheffield not Booth that I posted earlier
Thankyou

Hi, new user here! I have come across this knife, but can’t seem to find any others the same. I have seen plenty of similar knife’s but with black scales. The hook is copper which I’m led to believe wasn’t used during WW2, but this knife is stamped 1939 - so must be one of the last to have it? I think the scales are aluminium? It has the Rodger’s Sheffield marks on it along with the military stamps and GR. Any information would be great.

Ezduzit - Your knife is the Royal Navy issue clasp knife. Rodgers seems to be one of the most common makers. They were in service from 1939 to 1986.
