Jacks or Better to Open...

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Nice Knife BigDaddy!!!

Glad to pump some life back into it Perry. Good thread and many CASE patterns qualify as Jacks.

Reread the entire post again. Some great knives All!!!

Thanks Wosey. Funny you mentioned the word "inspired". I haven't touch those knives for a couple of months, and as corny as it sounds, I was like a kid at Christmas reaching for each one, even though I have handled them before. Thanks for starting the thread (awhile ago).

Keep them coming all. Regards, Jerry

Hey Tim,

Thanks for the compliment my friend. Pic on yours is alittle fuzzy (mine aint the best either) but clear enough to know that there are some fine ones you have there. Is that a 10 dot 5299-1/2 A blade on the bottom right?

Regards, Jerry

Sorry! I didn't read your post thoroughly. No, I don't think that it is a n "a" blade, just a 10 dot. Haven't completely woke up yet! lol

Here is a TESTED 2228 EO with long pull...

Looks like it has been gassed or exposed to some element as there is some minor staining of some sort on only the exposed (not within liners when closed) top of the blade and the EO cut out on the master blade. Still a nice one though.

Best pics I could get for now.

Thanks Dave! I like the EO and long pull on that one. Very easy to draw the blade with either.

Here a couple 028 frames. Kind of threw me off as to the pattern for a bit since last post was a 28 and of course, serpentine frame versus not, no model stamp, etc.

First 2 pics are a CASE TESTED 62028-1/2 in Slick Black.
Remaining pics are a CASE XX 22028-1/2 in Rough Black. This one has the closed "C" on the shield indicative of a early XX knife. Feel free to correct me on model and shield, early in era, if I am wrong.

Regards, Jerry

Jerry I agree it is fun to go back through
a thread sometimes for review in it's entirety.
Especially if it's 10 pages instead of 78.
Kinda like reading a book VS following a Sunday's
only comic strip. Not that I've ready many books,
don't want to give the wrong imspatulation.

Here's one I kinda like. Railroad theme 6292.
Cincinnati Union Terminal (C.U.T.) 50 yr. commem.
Image

Backside same color, imagine that
Image

Other 6292 is a 1999 Chestnut.
Might as well throw in the 032 as well.
