International knife trades

Post by Gr8Scout »

Would there be any interest if I were to post in the trade forums, swaps for good old American made knives for ones of equal quality from YOUR particular country?

I'm proud of the American brands like Camillus, Schrade, Case, ect. Using knives, not safe queens. I'm interested in like knives from your country, whatever that happens to be.

Yes, could absolutely be of interest.
Theoretically at least since I don´t know if I have anything I´m going to trade for the moment but I like older used American knives also and it´s of course not as easy to find them in Sweden as it is in the U.S.
To buy on ebay is not always practical either because of VAT and customs dutys a.s.o based upon what you payed for it.

I don´t know if Gr8Scout are at this forum so much nowadays but if anyone wants to trade overseas with something I show here its free to come with proposals ::nod::

NIce to see a response. I still think this idea has legs. I would be happy to list the knife on the customs form as being worth a couple of dollars only, to avoid any duties or value added tax for overseas guys for whom this is a problem.

Another thought... Are USA knife magazines available overseas? And are there knife magazines from other countries out there? An inexpensive trade, and I don't care if I can read the words or not, just enjoy looking at the pics and seeing what is there.

Again, if anyone is interested, we should post in the 'Trade forum' to be mindful of this site's rules.
