That Yukon Liner Lock and the (Jumbo?) Sleeveboard are two outstanding knives in my book!
Thanks for posting them, I'll be drooling for days . . .

Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Hey 1967redrider, Yes Sir I call it a Jumbo 1/2 Whittler. Others may call it just a big sleeveboard. I kinda enjoy giving "names" to old knives as it helps me to remember them. I sent my late Grandpa a knife to evaluate for me about 15yrs ago & all he told me was that it was "Double Ugly". hahahaha
The Rope knife had no markings anywhere on it & it did have Thick bone handles & a very thin bolster w/ steel pins. We came to the conclusion it was a Japan WW2 Era knife. There was not as many pictures on the net back then or info so I just now googled it to find a similar picture for you. It was Ugly looking...lol
Kindest Regards,
Mark

Are these Congress 3 blade whittlers fairly common? I don't see them when "out and about" but have notuced a couple in this forum.

Re: Cattaraugus Cutlery Co. Little Valley N.Y. 1886-1963
Congratulations—nice find Ike
They are not common compared to the standard non Congress spilt back whittler. Roy Humenick did an SFO with GEC for one a couple of years ago for his American Whittler web site. It was a GEC pattern #13. In fact he wrote a very nice article about Congress pattern knives and also briefly mentions Congress whittlers in this OKCA newsletter article Feb. 2017 on page 8 here http://www.oregonknifeclub.org/Newsletter%201702.pdf
Here is another Congress whittler tale by the same author you might find interesting reading from a OKCA newsletter from 2005 (My Lucky Knife) http://www.oregonknifeclub.org/Newsletter%200503.pdf

Thanks Richard!
Thanks Lloyd and thanks for the interesting reading. I am not really a collector of congress pattern and other than a couple of Bokers I didnt really remember having seen this whittler pattern b4 at the time I picked up this Catt.

That is a beautiful little knife, Roger. Nice catch!
I must have 5 or 6 doctors knives. None with a spatula.

I just picked up this rather worn Catt marked 22639. I can’t find many other examples of this model. Does anyone have any information?
