THAT is pitiful! ::barf:: At least you gotta give the seller credit for the description "rare hard to find"!

And the kicker on this one for me is under item description. Used and in quotes "unused". Really? ::shrug::

Randy perhaps parts of the knife are used and parts are unused. That could account for the confusion could it not ?

I sent the seller a note letting her know the knife is fake. Here's her response. ::ds:: ::rotflol::

Dear batgirl27,

This knife is counterfeit. A poorly done at that

The answer should have been :
I am trying to sell a fake. How dare you tell me my fake is a fake.I don't mind using my grandfather to cover my mistakes. When you see something wrong who are you to question me about ripping people off for money.

I love how she blocked any more emails from me so I couldn't reply to her.

Yea, that one is a bad fake and surely not treasured either way by he grand-daughter. What a crock. I love your smooth approach to informing her, would have said it same way. Even if you had been PC about it the response would have been similair.

My question is, I don't really know that I want the answer but I wonder why she callls herself Batgirl27. Maybe that is just me.

I looked at all her other auctions. Looks like legitimate stuff.

I wonder if the knife came out of her grandfather's estate or belongings and she's made an assumption as to its age based on other items he owned, his own age or something he might have told her.

I think people, when looking at the bric-a-brac of an ancestor's estate, tend to forget the person was alive, living and buying stuff the last years of their lives as well as the early years.

I see references to a previous owners age in Ebay descriptions all the time.

It's meaningless.

Grandpa might have bought the knife last year because it reminded him of one he had back in the 30's.

We'll never know because BatGirl is too closed off, rude and bitchy to have a conversation re' the knife.

You know, "It can't possibly be fake, it was Gramp's."

BTW; The auction has been discontinued.
