Here is a link to an eBay sale where a somewhat used, 3 eye sod buster with wood handles sold for just under $90.
I have contended for some time that Schlieper knives (Eye Brands, Fan Brands, Jim Bowie, El Gallo) seem to have held their values better than most. http://www.ebay.com/itm/231353786762?ss ... 1436.l2649

Re: Holy Cow!
Ray,
I agree, it seems like their value keeps climbing.
But, the guy that sold it still has to feel pretty good!
The deals(steals) on eBay are getting fewer and further between.
I just bought a large yellow DRGM Soddie with the eye over Germany stamp for about $29 incl. shipping.
It's been sharpened some, and it has the single line Solingen Germany etch up at the ridge of the blade.
If it's anything like the pictures, it's the best deal I've caught in a while.
I think the thing that held the bids down was that he didn't mention Olbertz, Eye, Eye Brand, German Eye or Schlieper in the heading.
Thanks

Re: Holy Cow!
Keith,
You are right. It is getting rarer and rarer that I am able to sneak up on something on the bay. I don't buy near as much as I used to but I do like the sod buster pattern and if I see a bargain on one I'll grab it up.
I was able to get a table weekend after next at the Cedar Park (Austin) show and I may need to update my prices some. I haven't done a show in a long time.

Re: Holy Cow!
Ray, I would be grateful if you could share the date, location, and web link (if available) of the Cedar Park show you mentioned. Cedar Park is driveable for me.
Many thanks,
Jerry
