Friedrich Hartkopf, Solingen - a great brand!!

Post by Humppa »

Hi guys!

I´ve just seen, that there´s no forum for Friedrich Hartkopf, Solingen. They are almost pretty long in business and each of their knives gets made in Solingen, Germany.

I´ve several of them during the years and they are just great pocketknives. There are gentleman´s folders and hard-working knives available.

I have no idea if they are available in the US or "overseas" in general. But here in Germany they are well known at knife knuts and hunters.

(Just another brand for you guys to look at)

It seems their site is just available in german language.

I just looked through their catalog and they have some beautiful knives. I've never heard of them before, what are the prices like?

Thanks tendots. The video made me want one even more.

Edit: $64.94 not including shipping. Do Americans have to pay the VAT on items shipped to the US? B.F. says no. What is that minus the German 19% VAT? About $52 or $53?

Jerry, when I buy knives from Finnish makers I don't pay the VAT. Now I'd better watch that video. ::tu::

If they're not available in the US there are some available here -

I don't know what Heinnie Haynes do about overseas shipping, but here in the UK Bruce and his team are regarded as the best of the best as far as value and service go.

I have no connection with the company. Just a satisfied customer.
