Bulldog ID

Post by gmichael »

Hello, I bought these a few yeard back, and not too sure about how much they are worth. The old chum I found info around $100. The first one, seems pretty unique w/ the orange type stag, both are mint and never been carried. Thanks for your help.

While I have dabbled in Bulldogs in the past, I wouldn't know the current values on them. My guess would be these were made in the early 90s and are authentic. You would probably get around #100 a piece for them, maybe more on a great day.

The Old Chum would be dated 1983 and be BKC# 213. That being said, I would need more pictures but I would say it is an aftermarket knife with European stag as opposed to the Sambar stag that was on the old ones. Probably worth around 70.00 or so.
The other knife is BKC#32 and may be an authentic 1st generation knife. It will not be dated. The orange on the handles however was put on after market in an attempt to make them look torched. I have seen this many times and in my opinion it does not improve the value. Again probably 70.00 or so.
I wish I was giving you better news as Bulldogs are my favorite knives. Please feel free to check with me on any Bulldog purchases you may have in mind. Both of the knives would be great users.
