Anybody familiar with Marshall Wells Knives ?

I've seen quite a few knives marked Marshall Wells that seemed to be manufactured by New York Knife Co. This one is a good example. Of course, this knife seems to have had some kind of repairs or modifications and so all of the parts might not be original to the knife.

I Agree with Msteel,

This knife had all the trademarks of the NYKC, However, there seems to to be many manipulations to this particular specimen that are obvious. Be careful if your looking for an original knife,

this one is NOT!!!! Bonehead

If your looking for a real marshall wells knife. I have a pickbone jack in my aapk store.
If your looking for that particular lockback hunter pattern i have it in a new york knife and hibbard spencer & bartlett in my store also. And of course most of the prices on the knives i'm selling arent firm.


This is a marshall wells zenith knife, prob make by nyn.

I had a Marshall Wells knife a few years ago and did a little research then. All the comments above are good. I just want to add that Marshall Wells was a Hardware store that contracted their knives. The tang stamp I had was Marshall Wells Hardware as well. There's a pretty good group of collectors of Marshall Wells Zenith. This auction should be interesting to watch.
