Need HELP I.D think W

I ran this knife on Q+A,I THINK THEY ARE STUMPED ::shrug:: Anyway has anyone ever heard of Walter&Co or it may be Walters & Co.thats on the tang first line,line 2 is WARRENTED,line 3 is CAST-STEEL any help would be appreciated thanks Bob.

Nobody in the EUROPEAN KNIFE theater has ever heard of WALTER & Co knives ::shrug:: Must be a rare one :shock:

There was a J. (John) Walters & Co in Sheffield around the middle of the 1840s-1860s. No idea if that is related to your knife.

Thanks S-K The old knife maker from up North has helped me and this knife is German C.1884-1895 Walter&Co made bayonets Muhlhausen in Thur moved to Werke.
