Re: Old pocket knives (made in USSR)
Here is one that looks completely different from those already posted. I bought it (new) while on a business trip in Russia in 1991. It looks (and is) well used, having travelled around Russia with me on many long journeys since then. It has been used for everything from cutting sausages and gutting fish to testing minerals for hardness (I'm a mining geologist). Hence condition now not good. The detail on both front and back reads the same: "price 2 roubles 65 kopecks". At the then official exchange rate this was £ 2.65 but the effective price at the normal tourist rate was 26.5 pence (about 17cents US). This was still in the Soviet system so the price marked on it was the price that it was sold at. The decoration on the brass (or bronze?) case looks fairly crude - was it actually hand made ?

Very nice!
Does the first knife have a folding fork? Can I see them with the blades open?
