Kart, those are interesting. Can you give us some details on the tang stamps? Where were these knives made?

I've seen a few on Ebay i'm sure there's alot a different makers from all the different regions that were in the USSR--post more & welcome

Kart - Being in Eastern Europe, would you have any information on this knife? Four inches long closed with horn handles. What leads me to think E. Europe is the backwards "N". Thanks a lot.

I'm not sure, but maybe is poland knife "Gerlah" , old issue...

Thanks a lot Kart. I see from searching that Gerlach does use a crown in their stamp, but they are also marked "Gerlach".

GPK = gorpromkombinat and named to the January 1957 Pavlovian state factory folding knives and souvenirs (from 1989 factory art metal, "Souvenir")
Start your plant takes from 1928, when by the decision of the Pavlovsk district executive committee was established with the child labor camps and lock sewing workshops. Here was directed more than 70 homeless adolescents. Since 1930, a master of charging and repair of household appliances. Feb. 5 in the repair of household workshop included carpentry, cooperage, a pottery workshop and a workshop to develop a wheel ointment .. In the postwar years gorpromkombinat dramatically increased the production of a variety of folding knives. In January 1957, he was transformed into a state factory folding knives. With the move the company into new areas on the Alley Ilyich here erect a special building for the production of souvenirs. By the early 70's the company expanded: the rights of branches in it and joined guilds Gomzovsky Harbatouski.

In 1956, by order of the Government of metal collective farm has been converted into public works of local industry. Part of Pavlovo production knives was made in Davydkovo plant "Zarya" (Dawn)

funny it's somewhere similar to the douk-douk (french pocket knife)

I believe both of these knives were made in the USSR. I bought them from a Bulgarian Railroad man. ImageImageImageImage

Can anyone give me any information on the knives I posted earlier? Maybe confirm that they were made in the USSR/Russia? As I said I bought them from a man who had retired from the Bulgarian Rail Road.

The first one made in Kolpino plant Leningrad region, the second in Kharkov plant "Metallist", Ukraine Soviet Socialist Republic

Thank You very much! Any information I can get is greatly appreciated. Is there some literature I can get on these knives? I'd like to learn more about knives from USSR. I know a good deal about knives from the USA, Western Europe, and Asia but very little about knives from the USSR.
