Hello, I thought maybe we could start a new topic on older knives we have. This is a Case Bradford PA 45 pattern with what I think is Rogsrs bone.

Ok stockman, thats right up my alley. Here is a tested 61048 farmers pattern with green bone scales.

Here's a pair of 6245s stockman! Not as old as yours, though; a Tested, and an XX, both with greenbone.

Very nice Charlie, but how about that 6245P with red Winterbottom? BTW sometime in the near future I would like to use an image of that knife in a future KW article if its OK with you.

BR and UP I like your knives, that XX of upnorth looks to be a very early XX. I'am still having trouble with my pics, I have been scanning thinking about trying a picture box.

Stockman, super 45 you got there. Here is a very rare 62028 slimline Tear drop. Tang stamping is WR Case & Sons (pre-1920). Handles are old rodgers bone. Note hammered handle pins and raised letter diamond shield.

Case Bros. Cut co pre 1915 I think 2 11/16 01 pattern? Knife is better than the scan.

I don't think I have showed this one here since I acquired it from ccbill. This is an old military knife from the Victorian era. It is marked Hunter Sheffield and has the 'broad arrow I' mark which indicates it was British Government issue for use in India. If so, and it looks well used, the knife has been at around the world... having travelled from Sheffield to India, to Alaska, to Texas and back to Bedford. I still have very little info about the maker or the specific time frame. If anyone has any further info it would be greatly appreciated. It is very heavy and just over 5 inches long closed so not really an edc pocket knife.

Beatiful Case Bros. Cut Co. stockman, I have one handled in tortoise I'll post it later. SK as always your specimens are top notch. Mossdancer, according to Case the WR & sons stamp was pre-1920 and the tested era was c.1920-1940. Now here is a WWI military contract knife.

Hello All, here is a Case Tested 47 pattern. It would appear to be 3247, but I have been told that case never made a tested 3247. The scales have never been replaced. I showed this knife to Jim Sergent in Tulsa sometime ago, he thinks the handles have turned yellow with age. I have never found one in the books. Jim thinks that it is 4247. I got the knife at a farm sale it had been in a coffee can for some length of time. What think ye.

A few big old pruning knives. The first one, Harrison Bros & Howson has England on the stamp so made post Jan 1891. The other, by Francis Newton does not. Could be pre 1891 or post but not made for the export market. Click on the pics and expand for full size and better detail.

Nice everybody Here is one of my favorite knives WATER-VILLE 3 5/8" cattle pattern with punch pre 1900. pearl is neat kinda flacking along the liners.
