not 1970's and not a true 3 eye. If it were ,with the bone handles and shield it would be rather rare. The new arched stamp is a hint but the striker pulls seal the deal. Probably another of the new SMKW knives with the old etch

Re: Another NEW "old" eyeball
If SMKW is having these made, where are they having them made. It also looks like it has stamps from two different eras, 60's/70's and current.

SMKW lists several knives with the old style blade etches.
Some with and some without matchstriker pulls.
I love Eyes, but I really wish they wouldn't do that.

Here's another one that went through Ebay today.
You can't see it in this pic, but it had the old style etch.
The seller indicated it was an old one, but I don't think so.
Does anyone know when they first started using matchstriker pulls?
Nice looking though, a bar shield looks good on a Congress

Re: Another NEW "old" eyeball
Well, I can't think of but one old Eye that had a match striker pull. Matter of fact I saw one recently on eBay. I'll try to post a photo of the old one.
Essentially, if you see a match striker pull on an Eye Brand, it is not an old knife, with the one exception.

PS: While going thru my photos, I did find one other, a canoe type pattern with a clip blade and locking. As can be seen, this type match striker is different from the newer ones. Now, with 2 exceptions. Maybe there are others.
