Really nice stag on both those knives, Monk! You have been a very busy man! Where did you find the 73L? I've been looking for them and haven't seen any! Like the banana bone pair too, and the stockmans are nice...well you get the idea. Congratulations on all your new scores. ::tu:: ::tu:: Your taste is impeccable!

Oooops! I guess that link doesn't work any longer. Greg is really on the ball tonite.
Anyway, it's a 2008 stag 23L Linerlock very much like Monk's except nicer. ::ds::

Jaylu:

I set a limit of one GEC per month in 2011.
That was my New Year's resolution.
So far I've bought 4 in January.

If you don't stick to your guns any better than I have you're on target for 100+ GECs this year.

Monk:

#51 is correct.

Greg has 2-3 others that are nice but it ain't gonna be too long until the stag 2007s and 2008s are gone.
Even the 2009s are gettin' scarce.
I'm lookin' at another 23 stag but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I'd love to post some photos but I have no clue how to do it.

Can I use my Kodak Baby Brownie camera?

After I get the film developed do i put a negative in a slot on the side of my computer?

Clueless,

Monk, I have a little Bullwinkle too, and I like it a lot!

Very pocket friendly, yet capable - and I am really likin' the "Winkle Etch" … ::nod::

Love the Moose with two clip blades guys! I became disenchanted with GEC for a while because they overused #54 pattern. Unfortunately, I missed the #54 with double clip, long pull and stag. Once again, I'm going to go broke hanging out with you guys! Fortunately for my wallet, it looks like they're all sold out.

Thanks guys! - That's a real beauty Monk!

I really like the long pulls as well, and the threaded bolsters - looks so classy ...

I know what you mean Augustus - I have been "playing catch up" with the GEC knives myself - wasn't actively collecting (one of my breaks) when they first hit.

I got the 54 bug and decided to get one of each of the Moose patterns - and so that's how I came to have these …

Then I discovered what a nice application of the 54 frame the three-spring Whittler was … and that has now become one of my regular EDCs ...

Fortunately, I am nearing "coast" mode, where I feel I can sit back and cherry pick a bit. Time to sloooow down ...

Or so I tell myself …

Monk, man you got some really nice pieces there … showin' exactly why I like the GECs so much.

They are starting to build out their offerings to include some great patterns.

Now I gotta go dig up the camera and see if I can find that Whittler, and maybe my little Moose …

Thanks for sharing these beauties! :D

You guys are showin' off some dandies on this thread. Congrats to Wilder and Monk on their 23L scores. Monk, isn't that Bullwinkle a little small in those huge mitts of yours? Wilder, I really wanted that no. 51, but I have three already and am over budget. They are some gorgeous knives and I don't think you'll see GEC producing the 23 bare heads in stag for awhile, if ever again. I understand the large slabs of stag are getting hard to come by. ::shrug::

I got this little guy from Mike at CK recently. It is an EDC and is marked with a "S" on the tang, but I can find very little to fault the knife; the stag is awesome, the action crisp, and it came SHARP! She's definetly goin' in the pocket! ::nod::

#362209 Hemlock Green Jig Bone ~ only one made
Image
This is the very last #36 Tidioute sunfish produced in 2009 with brass liner and
pins with nickel silver bolsters. They have since switched to an all steel model.
There must have been just enough hemlock green bone left over from the #73
jacks to produce this one of a kind toenail. Pic is crumby but the knife's sweet.
