I can't answer your question but it is Robt Klaas. The "t" on the tang stamp has a line under it.

Hi Basser,
I am far from an expert on Kissing Cranes knives but those all look to be fairly new. They are all German made apparently so they are at least a couple of years old because Kissing Cranes are no longer made in Germany, they are now called Kissing Crane and are made in China.
Your knives should all fall somewhere in the 35-55 price range. An ebay search might help you with a bit more accurate pricing.

Does anyone actually have a photo of a tang stamp that says Kissing Cranes? I have a Kissing Crane stiletto made in Germany that is at least 20 years old. As far as I know, they have always been Kissing Crane. I'm curious as to whether this is an issue of packaging misprint done in China or a real name change.Thanks...

Re: Need help with Kissing cranes!
Puzzles me too. I've 6 of them made in Germany. 2 have the Kissing Crane tang stamp but Kissing Cranes boxes. The 4 stamped Robt. Klaas have no Kissing anything words as a tang stamp, but Kissing Cranes boxes. Beats me. Perhaps we're expecting too much when we look for a logical explanation.elbertson wrote:Does anyone actually have a photo of a tang stamp that says Kissing Cranes? Re: Need help with Kissing cranes!
I have a suspicion that the maker/printers of the boxes goofed up...maybe saw the two cranes in the logo and decided to "correct" the copy they were given for the printing job. I have yet to see it stamped on a knife with the mystery s. Of course that doesn't mean it couldn't have been a goof up also, but since I imagine the boxes were printed in a different facility than where the blades were stamped, it would be quite the coincidence if it wasn't intentional.
