Jansen & Weck scale release folder

Post by Desktop »

Here is an old scale-release auto by Edmund Jansen and Wilhelm Weck (Jansen&Weck). The knife measures just over 3" in the closed position. The blades open with a hard snap when the scale ends are pushed down (the blades do not lock in the open position). Yellow celluloid scales. (The spot on the smaller blade is dirt, not rust.)

This particular knife was sold in Linköping, Sweden, by "AB Svenska Cykel-Magasinet". AB Svenska Cykel-Magasinet was registered as a company on July 9, 1902, and sold bicycles, motorcycles, tires, and related items. From what information I have found, the company closed around 1970.

Neat old knife with some neat old history!

Enjoy!
