Here's a recent purchase. The script tang stamp dates this knife to 1928-1930.
Both blades have the Boker stamp, the main blade has the tree stamp on the back. You can see the main blade saw a lot of use.
If you're curious about the background: It is a Boker sales letter from 1895.
I'll probably try to sell this knife later this week unless someone has a Boker corn knife they wanna trade.

Why in the world would you let a knife like that slip through your fingers? You got a fine mess of bokers and This one would compliment anybodys colection. once it's gone, boy that's it.
I have had some really great knives in my past and only now do I realize what i mostly gave away I would love to have back now.
Whip that knife and put it in a drawer and tell it to stay there.....:^)
How do I get those litttle smilies on my post?

I dunno, there's probably some deep psychological reason fer it somewhere. It's part of the social aspect of collecting for me. I like the hunt, finding some unusual, the discussion and debate, then spreading the joy around. There are some knives that when I find them, I know they will be in my collection for quite a while. (Like the 1981 LTD "The Collector") But others, I'll get them, take a lot of photos for future research, then send them on their merry way.
Kind of like a catch and release program for pocketknives!

oh yeah, dale you should be able to see a flock of smilies on the left of your screen when posting a reply. Just click on one o' them little buggers and he should show up in your post.
