Anybody want to show off their knives with wharncliffe pattern blades?

Here's two of mine, a Holley and Waterville.

Wharncliffe could be my favorite blade shape. I have two in my pockets as I write this!!

Here are 2 that I just picked up. The stag is a Challenge which could use some help and the wood handled one is a Saxonia. The Saxonia has a name in script on the front tang that I have never seen before, Fulamco?

Reading the thread on the Case Swayback Jack in the General forum I thought we needed a Wharncliffe thread!
Then I remembered that we had one, so I dug it up.
I know there isn't much here ....yet......but it is a good start and it does have a post by Johnnie of his Wharncliffe before he passed away last year.

So let's see what you have!

Well, here are a few. The first is abalone a 1 of 33 Viking with a COA and next is a 1 of 33 Mastodon Ivory Viking with a COA.
Next a set of 6 Carbon steel Bulldog Seductress Prototype models - the only prototype set made like this - I have the original invoice for these.

Next another Bulldog Viking model in antique elephant ivory.

Nice knife & great user.
Only things I would change are the the steel (I would rather have CV blades) and the color of the bone,
Have you ever seen a more funky green bone handle?

Here is another I got off ebay.
I is supposed to be US made.
The steel hasn't impressed me, but I do like the shape of the frame. Very comfortable in the hand.

Looks like I need to make more scans.

Thanks for bringing this thread back to life Orvet, didn't know it was hear. I'm usually in this particular forum to look and learn since I don't have any old knives. From what I'm seeing it looks OK to show a couple of mine that I have left. I went diggin through the collection and found these four. A Classic, couple of damascus stag seahorses, and another one of those swaybacks but in bermuda green. I love those wharnies!

I love the wharncliff style blade. Here's an oldie. The tangs are stamped on all blades but are difficult to make out, but it is a German made Boker. Horn handle scales. I'll scan it as it is too darn dark today to take a picture.

Love that seahorse in amber bone Wosey....gave mine away to my daughters boyfriend for christmas...hope he sticks around...maybe I should have drawn up a prenup

Here's a couple:
An Empire with ebony scales and a G&J Allen Celebrated Cutlery with pearl scales and piquing(silver pins).The Allen dates to around 1840-1850.

If he does run off maybe your amber Chorse will bite him for ya.
They sure seem to 'get' their owner more often than other whittilators.
They do me anyway.
Now that you mention it that particular one I posted does look kind of amberish on the front.
I think Case named it honeybone or such.
Can't find my copy of the COA right now to verify ofishul handle color.
It's from the Family Brands Mint set, has Case Mfg. Co shield & tang.
Little easier to see if I turn it right side up.
Backside has more honey than the front.

This one's my current favorite EDC. Cuts like a laser and carries easy in the pocket. I still wish it was about 3 1/2 inches closed, as it is just a little small. Although it does give me an excuse to carry a larger knife as well. I don't think it'd be much good as a skinner, but it's great for pickin' out slivers and such. Watch out for that point!
