I'm not sure they ever have knife shows around here. Gun shows often have knife sellers but not the kind you people talk about.
Should I ever come across a "bucket full" of Imperials I will grab a few fer sure!

I found an old Imperial Shell handle at the mini show Saturday.
The interesting thing about this one is that it has the Hammer Brand logo on the bolster.

Charlie,
That will be $6.00 plus shipping and handling

Seriously,
People say today "How can China make that knife and sell it for $15.00 and make a profit?"
Well I ask, How could Colonial make these knives in 1977 and sell them for .50 cents a piece and make a profit? The $1.00 marked on the display card is the retail price.

I don't think I've posted these pics yet. Mostly Schrade or Schrade-related; "click" them up to get fine details!

Thanks for the compliments on the Schrades everyone! Here's a Boker that's unusual.
Has anyone seen this bolster stamp before?
It was a first for me, so I HAD to buy it!!

Re: The Venerable Old Barlow
Never seen a Boker marked like that. it's NEAT!!
Couple of Colonials

and a very used up old Remington
Ignore that other used up Remington at the top of the pic. I was running out memory in my camera and light to work with.

The REMINGTON on the bolster is upside for some strange reason unbeknown to me. Maybe it is like those discussed elsewhere with the upside down shields.

Re: The Venerable Old Barlow
A few more of mine.
Some new Russell Barlows.
Some newer Remington Barlows.
I like the Daddy Barlows and Russell does them well. They have some of the nicest saw cut bone.
Of course that red & yellow Remington probably rates as high in Ken's book as it does in mine.

Re: The Venerable Old Barlow
Nice Russells and Daddies, MB and Orvet!
Rather than waste bandwidth, I'll refer you to my Russells on page one of this thread.
Dimitri, and everyone, do you find that the clip blades are more scarce on the old knives? I've seen lots of spears, but fewer clips.

Re: The Venerable Old Barlow
Charlie,
I find very few old clip bladed barlows. It seems the spear was more widely used. I think because this was an inexpensive working man`s knife, the spear took less time to grind.
Also, the clip blade point could be easily broken during hard use, where as a spear is much stronger. Judging from most of the old barlow knives I have seen, they were used pretty hard.
I have lots of old barlow knives, I will post more pics soon.

Re: The Venerable Old Barlow
While we're waitin' for Dimitri's old ones
, I found some pics of my Daddy Barlows to ogle; not all are that old, but some good age and history here.
1) First the Case ones.
2) Then a mixture of; a Cargill, a Schatt & Morgan, and some Scagel (Queen) repros.
3) Finally, some nice old Schrades!
