Barlows are like Mom, and Apple Pie! They bring out the nostalgia in me, of younger days, and simpler times. Of hunting groundhogs with my Dad . . . . . .no wonder I can't refuse a nice Barlow  !
Here's a nice set of KeenKutters. I finally found the "Razor", in the second pic. Does anyone know if they made a spey in this era??

Nice ones Charlie! ::tu:: ::tu::

You have a copy of Revis Ferguson's book don't you?
Check out page 158, on the bottom left hand corner.
The Barlow with the spey master is not shown, but is listed as an alternate blade configuration, as is the Clip blade.
K2881 - Spear Point master
K2881 1/4 - Spey Point master
K2881 1/2 - Razor master (This one is listed separately right above he pic of the K2881).
K2881 3/4 - Clip Point master

That was pretty sweet to find all four blades available in the K2881 pattern listed on the same page!
BUT..........I did not see a Barlow listed with a Sheepfoot master blade. ::shrug::

Four beautiful Barlows Charlie. And they all seem to meet your standards of excellence. ::tu::

But............. I know you have more!
Please share more Barlow pics!
(I think I am a Barlow addict)

Dale

PS- I think there still copies of Revis Ferguson's book available here on AAPK to whoever wants one.
Details are at the following thread: http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kni ... 16#p119816
If anyone does not have a copy of this book, I recommend it highly.

Well I have some barlows Dale, but not sure they
would fit the classification of old barlows.
I think this is the oldest though, 1979 AppleLucy.
Now if you can stand them any newer..... 8)

Dale you are right, I have more. Way too many in fact. I had a lucky streak back several years, and bought a bunch of Case Barlows, intending to do a comparison study, to determine who made them for Case. Over the years, several were made by Utica, and others. I have more research to do. . . . . some day  .
Here's a nice group of seven;

Believe it or not, Schrade subcontracted some out also. Of course Belknap Hardware contracted all their knives. I was amazed to find these, I think made by Utica!!

I like the long pulls too, Dave! ::tu::

Here's a couple. TipTop was a Camillus brand; note the 4-line stamp.
I wonder how old it is??

Welllll, may not be quite as unique as Red's Jasperlow.
Still not too bad for factoryized barlows imho.
Stonewashed blue unXld atop blue trunklid &

Not a barlow, but definitely a spear blade you might like.
Least it's black horn like the Tidy Oat.

Here are a couple new ones.

The I*XL I got a couple weeks ago. Too bad the handle is cracked.
The crack is nice and tight though.

The second one is a Camco with warping celluloid scales.
Note the strange double backspring, with one spring having a nub on it that sticks outside the radius of the end of the unbolstered end to form a hole to add a chain.

It has a nice spear point Dave.

That is unusual isn't it?
It was definitely made to be inexpensive, but it is interesting the way they made it.
