Wow, just my opinion but I think they're gonna to have a tough time selling them at those prices in this economy. They should've kept the range somewhere between $65 to $85. ::shrug:: Is it just me?

You'd certainly think so Perry, but GEC's are flying off the shelves and they are in the $100 ballpark......

Wonder who's making those?

Oh my--they're even making a "Western" 100th anniversary commemorative . . . . ::barf:: I need to go promise my Westerns that they'll never share space with "one of them!"
Quality should not be an accident. So what is the explanation for some of the knives we've seen in the past few years? (from A Knifebuyer's Manifesto)

Jim - You may not like the Western but did you notice every knife on that page is marked USA? That was the reason I posted a copy of the page.

I did. I was checking out eBay trying to locate similar knives to determine manufacturer so we could figure out if they are made in the USA (from imported parts) or made in the USA (from chunks of steel, micarta, etc).

No luck so far, there are a lot of knives on the 'Bay, and I keep getting sidetracked looking at pictures . . .

Thanks for posting the catalog page, I'd not have seen it otherwise.

Thanks for the link Mitch.
I saw it before but I missed that they are made in Idaho.
The guy said they are all made in the USA, even the sheaths.
Pretty cool!

They employ 14 people in Idaho making knives. ::tu::
I have no plans to run out and buy a new knife just now.
I will take a "wait & see" attitude, but in the mean time, I will give then the benefit of the doubt.
I do hope they are so successful they put a Chinese factory or two out of business! ::nod::
