I have always been fascinated by smaller knives..I would like to feature two.... one is a small pearl handle two-bladed knife marked on both blades
E.C. Simmons Keen Kutter made in U.S.A.!! 013 is stamped on the back of the smaller blade I assume that is the pattern number....
The other small knife marked... W.G. Mosley Cutlery Co on both blades...The handles on this knife appear to be tortise shell
These knives are both in excellent condition very near mint...But what the question is... what function does these knives serve?
Or was they more like salesmen's samples?
I don't have any other information and would to know more!!
Thanks All discussion welcome ::tu:: ::tu::

These were "gentlemans knives", used mainly for trimming fingernails and things like that. That is why they were made from more fragile materials, and seemed designed as much for looks as for usefulness.
Those are both beautiful knives, too!

Ok thanks Reverand.. I see the knives are small, easy on the pocket function well...I have several some look like quill knives, some advertising among others...I'll try to add more of the interesting ones and would like to see others that are out there!!

They said there was a card board at Jack Ben Shop with these for 25 cents.

Your pearl pen was probably made by Winchester. Winchester made KKs from 1923 to 1929+ so there's a really good chance they made this knife. Picture from Sellen's Keen Kutter Pocket Knives. Hope this helps! ::tu::
