All About Pocket Knives

I have this case 70s series knife which appears to have stag scales. The blade stamp reads 1199 shr. Need expert advice at identifying this pattern. I have looked and looked and can’t find this same knife anywhere. I thought it might be the whaler pattern but have yet to see one with stag scales. Also, this knife does not have the clevis type bail.

A 5199 is a big Jack, sometimes called a Rail Splitter (and maybe a Torpedo?). The rest I agree with what royal said . Definitely looks like it had a bail at one point, not Case stag either

Oh, it is something special just not in the way you were thinking. It is a very useful and beautiful knife wearing one of a kind clothes.

Agree with dogleggg, still a great knife in many ways!

I agree with what has already been said. Though it's no longer original, it would be a good user if the price is modest.
