Well, spit in the fire and call me a hoodlum! As of late, I have been carrying my Case CV Delrin Peanut and my Bat Cave (made in the US of A) Sendoa.

Last Sunday, I was in church (we were celebrating Veteran's Day early). A "Brown Water Sailor" (a 'brother from another mother') asked to borrow a knife. I quickly opened and presented to him my beautiful Bat Cave Sendoa. He used it for the intended purpose and promptly returned it. Neither of us batted an eyelash. The resident church pianist said, "Now THAT'S a knife"! I slid the blade back into my front slacks pocket and went on about my business.
Not all of our church members are "sheeple". Some of us have lived long enough and seen enough to deal with life and know when a threat is real.

Old sailors like us deal with life and move right along.

I certainly wasn't using the term as a pejorative; I carry a hoodlums knife, a hoodlum's gun, I have a hoodlums crowbar under my seat, and given the chance I will use my truck as a hoodlum's weapon. Because, as Mr. Simon sang, I'd rather be a hammer than a nail.
