WESTERN Boy Scout Fixed Blade - bent handle

This poor knife was abused.....the blade has a 2 level grind.....but at least it's sharp now!

The tang/handle was bent and the leather bindings were rusting it out so I had to do something to make it usable!

I believe the tang stamp dates this to 1928-1931? Agree?

It looks good Scott! ::tu::
You can make a little sheath for it and it would be a nice light weight hiking knife!

Nice save Scott. I like the cord handle. The tang stamp dates 1951 -1978. One of our Scout collectors can probably narrow that down from the knife model and when Western had the contract for the Official Scout Knife.

From looking at my resources, it looks like a date range of 1955-1970.
