Re-working a Victorinox Solo

I sort of put my big foot in it with this project. A chap asked me if it would be possible to re-handle a Victorinox Solo with Micarta and I said "yep it should be". Next thing I know he's sent me the knife and micarta and said "show me".
Decided it would be prudent to add liners just for a little additional rigidity.
So far so good
More to follow as I progress ...

Very nice. I think that's going to look real good when you're done. Great pictures by the way.

One of the more fiddly projects I have taken on. Is it an improvement? I trust the owner thinks so.
My first time ever with Micarta which was interesting and as always I learnt heaps along the way.

Looks great to me!
The liners were a good choice, as the micarta, even polished, would have made the action a bit weak being pressed against the tang and spring.
If you think that was fiddly, try working on one of the little bitty SAK's like a rambler or minichamp! (I did one once, never again lol)

That came out real nice! I did a SAK Officier in Manzanita for my Granddaughters 18 birthday. Came out nice.

Good work

Thanks fellas... it's in the post on the way to it's owner.
The second Victorinox Solo pictured he sent to me so "I could do one for myself". But it has gone back too.
Having done one I'm in no hurry to do another

It turned out great!
I really like the green micarta! Is it textured or is that just part of the pattern?
Well done sir!

Thanks edge/orvet
Dale that pattern is just 'in' the micarta and the surface is actually very smooth.
